Godfrey Zonde is a highly talented native Zimbabwean sculptor and artist. Under the personal tutelage of world renowned verdite Master Sculptor James Tandi (1956-2020), Godfrey has truly learned firsthand from one of the very best African sculptors. Adept in both realism and abstract works, Godfrey is also a specialist in working with semi-precious verdite. Verdite, a very rare stone, is only found in two deposits worldwide which are located in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Godfrey continues to rue clients with his one-of-a-kind pieces. Coupled with his personal attendance at various shows and his amazing character, his list of collectors is growing rapidly.Godfrey is also a master restorer of artwork created in stone indigenous to Africa. He has participated in numerous Safari Club and Gallery shows during the past several years.
