(1961 - 2017) Milan, primarily a self-taught artist, was accepted into his first gallery at the age of 17 and was shown in galleries from Florida to California. Renowned for his use of heightened, bold color and distinctive, expressive style, Milan employed innovative techniques of layering washes of fast-drying acrylics that at times reached 25 layers in one painting, powerful brush strokes, splatters and palette knife painting to communicate a unique, mystical illusion of the Southwest. At the time of his death in 2019, Pablo Milan left behind a legacy of painting innovation and a wealth of original works and limited edition prints.*
