BiographyA native of New Orleans, I arrived in Scottsdale in 2004. It was here, I found time to pursue my lifelong artistic interest. I began my artistic journey in 2010 with watercolors whose luminosity captured my imagination. In late 2016, an itch to paint abstractly and on canvas led me to acrylics. Painting with acrylics non-objectively is a self-directed exploration I've pursued in earnest for five years. Experimentation, intuition, and curiosity drive my work. I paint daily with deliberate intent and determination to create work the engages and pleases me. Artist StatementExperimentation and intuition drive my art. I paint daily creating images that engage and challenge me. I begin with a color palette and a canvas, not sure where either is taking me. Each painting is a new beginning filled with possibilities, and forks in the road. Complex color, sophisticated neutrals, layers of paint and texture are part of my work. Transitions of shape and hue engage me, and light, captured, completes a painting.
