Edie Fagan is an active artist with diverse styles and subject matter. Her work appears on posters, magazine covers and in collections nationwide. Many of her images have been licensed worldwide for broad commercial use. The National Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society have honored her with signature membership. In 2012 her book Adored Dogs was published – it is a collection of 61 watercolor portraits with an endearing biographical sketch of each dog. While majoring in Art at Queens University of Charlotte, she found the basis for learning and keeping openminded regarding the direction of her artistic journey. Personal experimentation along with knowledge gained from study with nationally and internationally known artists have blended into Edie’s unique style. Combining realism with abstraction has led to her current and ongoing passion for nonrepresentative abstract painting. “In my art, the path to abstraction has occurred over a long period of time. It is an exciting direction to explore, with choices to make and constant possibilities of inclusion and exclusion. Take a look and see how it makes you feel.”A native of Winter Park, Florida, Edie and her husband, Bill, live at Lake Keowee.
