A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Debbie Ezell has spent her life creating art. While much of her early career was devoted to education and dedicated to creating and illustrating curriculum for individuals recognized as exceptionally gifted and talented, in recent years she began to turn her attention back towards the development of her own art career. Debbie’s work has since been widely recognized in dozens of exhibitions across Atlanta, most recently in the 2016 Emerging Artists Show at the esteemed Anne Irwin Fine Art Gallery. Debbie’s current work evokes the natural and organic through her use of oils, acrylics and various tools for mark making to synthesize irregular shapes, lines and nuanced passages of color. She cites a wide-range of influences from masters such as Cezanne, Monet and John Singer Sargent to contemporary painters Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning and Agnes Martin. She currently lives and works in Atlanta, GA.
