Tumelo Michael Moloi is a self-taught visual and performance artist from South Africa. Largely inspired by his South African heritage, Moloi uses bold colors, patterns, and textures to create abstract interpretations of his experiences and sometimes dreams. His images capture the embodiment of strength, pride, beauty, pain, and weakness. As a performer, Moloi has been able to travel the world and experience beauty in all art forms. From his travels and experiences, he has come to view art as both the pain and the beauty that comes from that pain. Moloi's work represents the power of art to transform tragedy and injustice into something of beauty and hope.
