Over the past decade I've developed imagery rooted in the local landscape and vernacular architecture of the American South. These two elements are intertwined and evolve based on changes in climate, economy, and culture. These Stacks and Floods are envisioned as a speculative future for a region left devastated by new weather patterns and the need for communities to invent a social system to work in a new and dangerous world. Homes join together to reach higher grounds from rising waters, while the natural world begins its inevitable return.
