Originally from Vicksburg, Mississippi, Andrew Bucci's (1922-2014) paintings are deeply rooted in the themes of Abstract Expressionism. He employs color and line to create masterful abstractions of both figures and landscape. Drawn from his life experiences in the modern South, Bucci's work cannot be limited by one category of abstraction. His paintings are bursts of pure color and graceful lines; they are fresh, uplifting, and energetic.
