Rose Marie Willems followed the drawing and painting courses at the academies of Bruges and Eeklo. The first years I worked exclusively in watercolor. For a number of years, however, I prefer oil paint because this medium offers other possibilities. I remained fascinated by portrait and model, but evolved in technique. A few years ago I also started to focus on sculpture, namely modeling with clay. In my work I strive for beauty and serenity.
