Emerging abstract artist, Michael James Cisarik, discovered his passion for art for in 2020. Quick to demonstrate his aptitude, he has since been featured and recognized by national and international publications and institutions and is currently represented by numerous galleries across the U.S. “While I tell myself that I make each individual stroke intentional, planned and unique, I really don’t know how they’ll interact in the end. My vision always morphs as more elements are added, but when complete, the colors, textures, and brushstrokes produce a flurry of emotions that are different in every light." Soft and minimalist in his abstract style, Cisarik usually focuses on muted or natural color palettes, paired with contrasting, meticulously placed accents or gritty textures which often hold a single focal point. His mediums typically include a combination of acrylic and oil paints, charcoal and pastel. In creating his work, Cisarik attempts to depart from traditional, preconceived notions of art and inspire and elicit emotions from his audience.
