Nari’s mother was a self-taught artist and talented seamstress in Seoul, her love for art became an integral and influential part of her daughter’s life. Early on Nari attended classes at an art school in Korea, further engraining the fundamental art bases she would later reference in her artistic career; there she learned about still life, traditional landscapes and figure drawings. Her lessons would continue in her family home where she had numerous joyous memories creating art in painting and drawing mediums. At the age of eleven, Nari relocated to Los Angeles, California with her family. During her middle school and high school years she naturally decided to follow her dreams in pursuing a career in art. She continued her education at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she specialized in Fine Arts/Illustration until she received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2000; graduating with honors.During her artistic career in Los Angeles, Nari. worked as an Editorial Illustrator for various magazines, publishing companies, and record companies. She has used all these experiences to further develop her own style of art in Fine Art Painting. As an independent artist, Nari spends her days in her studio creating paintings that concentrate on movements with varying layers of emotions; using ranges of paints and textures. She enjoys creating most of her artwork using acrylic paints and ink on canvases, mirrors and metals.
