Silvia Rudolf was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1957. From 1977 through 1982 she studied architecture and interior design at the School of Rhineland-Palatinate Division in Kaiserslautern. Since then, Silvia has worked as a free lance artist but also held various other positions including that of a free drawing and solid design instructor at the University of Kaiserslautern. From 1994 until 2000, she lived and worked in Buenos Aires, Argentina and established the group TRANSIT in 1998. After returning to Germany, Silvia joined the Community Artist Workshop of Kaiserslautern. She moved to New York to pursue freelance opportunities in 2005.
