Arturo's favorite styles of art are anime and manga, the Japanese modes of animation and comic book graphic stories. Of Asian descent himself (he is Filipino), Arturo has incorporated these influences into his drawings and paintings and has attracted attention for his work as a visual artist. A former student at the High School of Art and Design, his favored mediums are graphite pencil (drawing) and acrylic (painting). He recently dabbled in the technique known as scratchboard and was pleased with the results. Arturo describes himself as "an emerging artist looking forward to more and greater challenges."
