The thinness of each swipe creates layers of new patterns and the chemicals combine creating reactions that give the pieces depth. Applying the paint with a specially designed tool allows the application method to be fast reflecting her own impatience. The amount of pressure on her custom tool has to be carefully contemplated to achieve the precise result of transparency she is trying toachieve. All of the paints are custom mixed to create the right opaqueness and depth. The applications can be swift and at the same time restrained. The process and compositions appear chaotic and unplanned when in fact they are well thought out. The chemical reactions achieved by mixing the layers of paint drive the spontaneity of the work.
