Cynthia Jewell Pollett, a native of Aiken, South Carolina, has painted professionally for 34 years. She graduated from Atlanta College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1978. Cynthia’s career has included being an art director and muralist, she owned a successful graphic design business for 20 years. Since 2006 Cynthia has returned to her heart’s desire and is glad to be painting full-time. Cynthia calls herself a contemporary impressionistic painter. "I work hard at capturing a quality of light and color that supports the overall mood. I enjoy pushing my color to an extreme in order to convey a message. If I immerse my viewer into the subject and cause them to see the extraordinary in the ordinary — then I have accomplished my task.”
