STONE BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA “You see, I love art. I am fascinated by it. The depths of it, the potential of it. I have always been very serious about the art I do. And I have felt grateful at having the opportunity to spend so much time investigating it and developing quite an intimate relationship with it. In 2017 I was fortunate enough to connect with Mountain Galleries, one of Canada’s top and well respected art galleries. this opened my work up to a wider audience and has continued to support me in building my career as an artist and getting my original carvings into private collections around the world." Born in Prince George in 1981, Andrew’s love of art developed at a young age. As a child he remembers being fascinated by great master carvers, Michelangelo and Leonardo. His love of art turned into a life-long passion, and in 2000, he made the decision to pursue post-secondary education in fine art. In 2004, he graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with his BFA. Dedicated to unique, one-of-a-kind works of art, Andrew is becoming one of Western Canada’s most celebrated carvers. In 2006, Andrew won the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award for Canadian emerging artists under the age of thirty with a focus on realism.
