American, b. 1990 Ian Bertram is a graduate from the School of Visual Arts and is based in New York City. Bertram has an affinity for creating mystical, grotesque, and primal portraits of the strange and bizarre. Building off the success of his 2020 Eisner win for "Little Bird," Bertram has been exploring different mediums and canvases, challenging himself to adapt his work to a different format than a traditional comic book page.
