American Tim Lane is a self-employed illustrator with a background in comic books and graphic novels. His illustrations have appeared in publications like the Village Voice, the New Republic, Rolling Stone, Utne Reader, Business Week, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Print Magazine, and the New York Times. He also teaches drawing at the Sam Fox School and has worked on commercial projects, including ones for Bob Callahan Studios in San Francisco. Lane's short comic stories have been released I n comic books like "Happy Hour in America," which also contained his graphic novel "Belligerent Piano," amongst others. As mini-comics, Lane has released his experimental tales "October Burlesque" and "The Myth of Jack."
