"When I paint, I try to find my balance between opposite energies. Spontaneity and order, holding and letting go, doubt and hope. When I am successful, I create a painting with multiple layers and textures that reveal the history of the exertion." Byron spent 18 years as a printmaker and freelance illustrator. In 2000, he embarked on a career as a painter, and has since exhibited nationally and internationally. His paintings are in private collections across the United States and Europe. In 2017, after 32 years in Chicago and Evanston, IL. Byron returned to his home state of California. Byron currently lives in Burbank with his wife, Patty, and their dog, Daisy.
