Bruce Cascia received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Cascia uses oil and acrylics to paint hyperrealist landscapes he thinks of as “prairie-scapes.” The artist is very drawn to voluminous, dramatic thunderheads rolling across expansive panoramas, dwarfing and contrasting lone farmhouses. These prairie-scapes and the artist’s vintage neon paintings are inspired by countless cross-country road trips Cascia continues to enjoy with his family across the western United States. Cascia has donated works to charities, including the Boulder Humane Society, the Children’s Memorial Hospital, and the Glenview Historical Society. The artist is represented by galleries in Santa Fe, NM; Tulsa, OK; Park City, UT; Jackson, WY; and Boulder, CO. The artist has also been exhibited at museums, including a 2013 exhibition “Bikes and Diners” at the Elmhurst Museum of Art. His paintings were also included in the opening of the Chicago Field Museum’s “Art of the Motorcycle.” Cascia’s work is in public and private collections both nationally and internationally, including the corporate collection of Oscar-Meyer and the private collections of Jay Leno, Peter Fonda, and Dennis Hopper. Bruce Cascia currently lives and works in Redondo Beach, California with his family.
