Paloma Hinojosa Artist Paloma Hinojosa was born in Madrid, Spain (1947) and has been painting ever since she was a little girl. Painting became more serious in her early teenage years, but this self-taught artist never had vocational training though Hinojosa attended Escuela de Artes y Oficios (School of Art and Trade). The fine art paintings of Hinojosa make her a true pioneer of “Neo-Impressionism”, and she uses vibrant colors to transmit her thoughts and feelings which are at times difficult to express into words. She defines her work as spontaneous, never knowing what she is going to paint, and at times it comes out on its own. She admits to being strongly influenced by music and notes classical and opera as examples. Paloma Hinojosa’s lyrical, romantic, and harmonious paintings easily draw the spectator into a mystical and beautiful world. Hinojosa has participated in over 20 private and 50 collective exhibitions all over the world since 1971. She has exhibited her fine artwork throughout Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Toledo, San Sebastián, Sevilla), France (Paris), and the United States.
