Andrew Cary Young established Pearl River Glass Studio in 1975. After graduating that year with a degree in Landscape Architecture from LSU, Young returned home to Mississippi to pursue his original interest in becoming an artist. It was during this period that he began working in the stained glass medium. A demanding craft, it required much from him as he attempted to master its difficult manufacture. It was out of this struggle that Pearl River Glass Studio was born with a mission to establish a “professional studio providing state of the art stained glass in Mississippi.” Andy's work explores many mediums and subject matters including a current portfolio of work full of figure studies that include experimentation in watercolor and ink currently available at Pacesetter Gallery.
