Janice Mathews-Gordon is a mixed media painter living and working in Oklahoma City. She owned an award-winning graphic design company for 20+ years before moving into fine art. Since then, she has exhibited her paintings in many solo and small group exhibitions, as well as numerous national and regional juried shows. Janice is currently represented by Joseph Gierek Fine Art on old Route 66 in Tulsa. Through her abstract acrylic paintings, Janice captures aspects of our common human experience. Sometimes her paintings reflect personal journeys. Other times, they represent an aspect of what it means to be human: an idea, a feeling, a concept, a train of thought. Evident in all is her graphic design background, influencing her compositions and bold color arrangements. Janice’s paintings are represented in many private and corporate collections including: ADG, Oklahoma City University School of Law, GE Global Research Center, Northcare Behavioral Health Center, and Crowe & Dunlevy Attorneys at Law.
