Gary Brady is a contemporary realist painter originally from Mobile, Alabama. Brady takes inspiration from everywhere he has lived and traveled, as well as the people and cultures that influenced his evolution. The artist strives to blend expressive mark-making and colors with spatial accuracy to represent the marriage of subject with its environment. Brady thinks of his process like improvisational jazz, allowing any part of the painting to encourage a spontaneous change until all parts are playing the same song.
