Kasia Bruniany started her artistic self-discovery journey at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland. While learning the practicalities of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and design, she also studied philosophy and art theory. In 1988, she received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art and Design with a minor in Interior Design. Drawing from her rich European heritage, the artist explores the boundaries between realism and abstraction. She fuses together the contradictory qualities of real and imagined, classical academic and modern abstract, intentional composition and intuitive gesture. Subtly narrative, ethereal subjects break through mystical, gestural backgrounds to suggest elements of real life and her personal experiences.​While many of Kasia's paintings could be described as a pictorial energy that vibrates and moves through time, her other collections, with a myriad of organic lines and shapes, evoke memories of remembered landscapes. In her series "Enhanced by Time," the artist reflects on a continuum of enduring human experiences, reviving recognizable, sculptural figures from ancient mythologies that still resonate across time.​​The artist has pursued an intriguing career path. Her etchings were exhibited across Europe. For the television, she created over one hundred set designs. Moving to the United States, in 2000, she started out in Pittsburgh as a graphic designer and art director, delivering cutting-edge solutions for advertising and branding. ​In 2013, she moved to Florida to focus exclusively on fine art. Her paintings are widely collected in the United States and Europe. She has exhibited her art in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in the US and Europe, receiving numerous recognitions.
