Born in Cambridge, Mass., and raised in the suburbs of Boston, I began taking pictures when I was a teenager. I shot black and white film and found my passion in the dark room. I studied in Kenmore Square, Boston, at The New England School of Photography. My journey has taken me from portraits, weddings and event photography, to where I am today as a seasoned nature photographer. Capturing delicate light along with a slow shutter, in many cases, is what allows me to bring out the romantic, mystical, minimalist images that I so love to shoot. Many times when I’m engulfed in shooting an ocean scape, I have no clue what the final image will look like. I can only recall the excitement and movement of the ocean, and what I capture with the camera is all up to God, not me. I have learned through the years, techniques that work for me. My style. My individuality. My images. My babies. I studied color theory with Tom Petit, a very talented photographer in his own right. Hues and tones of color are very important in my work. I hope you enjoy my Maine pieces as I take on something new, printing on metal.
