Cyndi Schick is a contemporary fine art painter and mixed medium artist based in Charleston, SC. Her artwork is showcased in private residential collections as well as corporate offices, banks, and select hotels in the United States, France, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Australia. Cyndi studied art in college and after graduating, became a commercial photographer. Then she moved to Paris, France, and studied painting, photography, and art history while living abroad for several years. Cyndi’s paintings are inspired by the ebb and flow of water. She lets her eyes get lost in the rhythmic patterns of waves. Water can be gentle, rushing, still, and tumultuous yet always powerful. Cyndi often incorporates beach sand into her paintings. Since 1991, she has been inspired by the miracles of nature. The inspiration she finds in everyday life is limitless. Her work reflects the idea of simply being present to witness the beauty that surrounds us. She is proud to call the beautiful state of South Carolina home and enjoys studying waves on daily Charleston area beach walks.
