The brand was founded in 2000 by a contemporary jewelry designer German Kabirski. It quickly attracted attention, mainly from people who don't like traditional jewelry and art critics. From the beginning, German Kabirski was all about being different. Our designer experimented with unconventional materials, invented new jewelry techniques, and ignored the thousands-year jewelry tradition to create his own authentic style. He combined diamonds with pebbles, precious metals with fur and feathers, and set stones in a way nobody thought possible. People normally think of my jewelry as “Kabirski” style, due to not being able to categorize my work. I am inspired by nature, and weird, conflicting elements in nature that we frequently try to avoid. I love to find beauty in ugliness, surreal in the ordinary, dreams within the reality. I do not separate them from each other.I mix organic forms and straight conflicting lines, using different textures for coating silver to resemble the textures I see in the ore, in the wild stones’ natural habitat. I want my art to remind people of their innately beautiful and conflicted nature. I want to create a sense of connection to everything, seeing awe and miracle in inanimate objects. I love to create dramatic, theatrical statement pieces to remind us of our boldness and our courage to be different.
