b. 1946 Washington studied under Charles White at Chouinard, and has long been associated with the Black Arts Movement. He has had solo shows at the Craft and Folk Art Museum, the California African American Museum, and the Wilding Cran Gallery among several others. His work as been featured at LACMA and The Broad, in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Museum of Art and the de Young in San Francisco, among many other group exhibitions.
