BiographyMy interest in art started early in life. As I grew into my teenage years and explored central Phoenix, I became entranced in the vivid colors and exotic nature of street and graffiti art. As the years passed, I began creating my own work, mostly in mixed media, and focused my studies on the application of color theory. As someone who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I have found this specific style of art to have a cathartic effect on my mental health. While street art will always be of special significance to me, I have recently pivoted to a style of art that focuses on my unique experience with bipolar disorder. Every color and brush stroke expresses emotions that I’m unable to do so with words. My goal with my art is to provide a window into the brain and emotions of someone with bipolar disorder that may otherwise be incomprehensible. It is equally my hope that those with mental illness can relate with, and find comfort in, the emotions that I convey on canvas.
