Elena Kister came to Cashiers, NC from Kyiv, Ukraine (at the beginning of the war with Russia) to live with family. She has a classical European art education and also worked in art and design for most of her life in Ukraine and is continuing her art career here in the US now. Her use of color and the playful compassion in the eyes of her animals is captivating.
