Jean Potronat (Lyons, France 1889-1974) grew up and completed his artistic training in his home town. Potronat then moved to Paris at the end of WWI, where he regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon. In the late 1930's, he moved to the French Rivirea where he lived and painted the Cote de Azure coast the rest of his life.
