Rachel Dinwiddie (b. 1999 in Monterey, CA) is a painter and recent graduate from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s BFA program. Her work is full of creatures and objects in fantastical situations, defined by excessive, explosive compositions. Primarily oil on paper, the work dances the line between drawing and painting, sculptural and ephemeral mark-making. She is currently based in San Diego, California.Recent Shows and/or Exhibitions2023 International Women’s Day Auction, AOAP, London, UK2022 Mom come pick me up, I’m uncomfortable, solo show at Meakin + Parsons, Oxford, UK2021 Art On a Postcard Winter Auction, AOAP, London, UKRush of Spring, Young Space Views with Steak Galley, Online Exhibition2020 Keep for Old Memoirs, Young Space Views, Online ExhibitionApril Foods, Abstract Lunch, Online ExhibitionWorld Series SD, False Cast Gallery, Online Exhibition2020 SAIC BFA Show, Sullivan Galleries, Chicago, IL
