Tayhe Munsamy is a South African artist born and raised in Johannesburg. Her practice explores the intersections of identity, culture, and fiction, drawing from her experiences as a mixed-race woman. Through a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating painting, video, performance, and digital media, Munsamy weaves together historical archives, cultural specificity, and fictional narratives. Munsamy holds a BA in Fine Art and History of Art from Goldsmiths University of London (2020), where she graduated with First-Class Honours. She later completed her MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths University of London (2024), graduating with distinction. Munsamy's work has been showcased in various group exhibitions in South Africa and internationally. Notably, she was selected for the RMB Talent Unlocked mentoring program and group show at Everard Read CIRCA Gallery in Johannesburg (2021). She is currently based in London, UK.
