Born in 1907 in Herni, Central Georgia, died in Tbilisi, Georgia 1985. Studied Toidze Art School 1922-1924, then Tbilisi Art Academy graduating in 1929. Studied under the Russian artists Lanseray, Sharleman, Tatovasnian. People's artist.
