Ukrainian artist Lyudmila Agrich spent much of her childhood in the beautiful city of Odessa, by the Black Sea. After numerous years of classical training in the music and fine arts school for children there, she went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Fine Arts. She practiced architecture several years in the Ukraine, and then moved to the United States, settling in Denver. In 2001 she devoted herself full-time to her painting. Lyudmila Agrich replaced her paintbrush with a palette knife in order to create bolder, light-infused images. Her expressionist-impressionism style strives to capture intimate moments in ordinary life. No matter what scene she creates—luminous cityscape, sensuous figures, glowing seascape, lush landscape—her paintings speak in the language of human feelings.
