With an artist mom, Holly Van Hart had access to virtually every type of artistic medium from an early age and took full advantage of that opportunity, particularly reveling in oil painting. When she went off to college, however, she went down a different path. At Stanford University she majored in Engineering, and worked in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research for 20 years. She continued to nurture her artistic side, painting in every spare second and taking innumerable classes. The ‘anything is possible’ attitude of her home in Silicon Valley, combined with awards from multiple prestigious art competitions, eventually convinced her to follow her dream, and in 2013 she devoted herself fulltime to her painting. Symbolizing abundance, her work depicts the generation of new ideas and new life.
