Jessica Uhler is a Seattle-area artist working with photographic imagery and written word to express deeply personal experiences. She seeks to uncover poetic and spiritual meaning and resonance through creating images of the quotidian seen in a new light. Her work documents and reveals the transcendent in the ordinary, often exploring the life of the home and family culture. Whether traveling across the world, or in her own kitchen, her eye and camera are always tuned to the poetry of things. Available for commissions, editorial projects, reportage assignments, product and brand storytelling. Loves prosecco and jalapeno chips (sometimes together), cold-water ocean swimming, running, a great Manhattan, garden-growing, a good double play, an herby gin, a quick wit, Mary Oliver, astrophysics, Nacho Libre, Sherlock, The Brothers K, C.S. Lewis, Annie Dillard, and Rilke, living-room dance parties and movie night with her husband and four children. Dislikes ballpoint pens, escalators and flesh-colored pants.
