Drawing and painting have been Kenneth’s lifelong passions, shaping his commitment to capturing the essence of the Canadian landscape. Over the years, Kenneth’s dedication to portraying Canada’s natural beauty has allowed his work to evolve from impressionism to modernism, focusing on style and color to capture a sense of depth and dimension. As a member of the American Society of Plein Air Painters, he has honed his ability to depict the rugged beauty of the Canadian landscape with a keen and discerning eye. Kenneth’s work is inspired by mid-century Canadian artists, as well as influences like Edgar Payne and Ernest Luthi. He places great emphasis on composition, value, and edges to create landscapes that linger in the memory. His goal is to distill the character of the landscape, capture its essence, and continue the tradition of authentic Canadiana painting.
