The following artwork has been consigned for sale to the Portland Art Gallery by a private art collector. The Portland Art Gallery does not represent Marguerite Robichaux. Marguerite Robichaux received an MFA from Louisiana State University and visited Maine as a student, which is when she grew to love the state. Now living in the woods of northwest Maine, her studio lies in the shadow of the Bigelow Mountain Range — one of her favorite subjects. Robichaux also spends part of each year painting in a small studio in southern Louisiana where she grew up, and whenever she travels it is always with a set of watercolors and a French easel. Her work is included in the collections of the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Portland Museum of Art in Maine, and the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine.
