Born in New York City in 1965, Maud grew up in New York and New Mexico. She received an AB in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University in 1987, studied painting and printmaking at National Academy of Design in New York, and received an MFA from New York Studio School in 2014. She was included in the 2015 BP Portrait Award exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London, and she has a sculpture and prints on display at the American University of Paris. She has exhibited paintings and sculptures in numerous group and solo exhibits in New York and Massachusetts and has works in private collections. Her current watercolors, oil and acrylic paintings, and plasters are based on her perception of form, light, color, the relationship between things, and between people. In addition to her studio work, Maud serves as a Trustee for New York Studio School and is a founding editor of SculptureForum.net. She lives and works in New York, NY and East Hampton, NY, with frequent trips to visit family in New Mexico.
