American, b. 1983 Born in Illinois in 1983, Landis Blair is an American author and illustrator influenced by the great American master of the absurd, the enigmatic and the sordid, Edward Gorey. He is the author of L'Accident de chasse, awarded the Fauve d’or at the 2021 Angoulême Festival (Sonatine Éditions, scenario by David L. Carlson). The same year, he also won the Grand prix des lectrices de Elle. Landis Blair, with his cross-hatched style and morbidly zany stories, has also blessed one of the New York Times bestseller From Here to Eternity: Traveling the World to Find the Good Death, written by Caitlin Doughty.
