Adleyn Scott's art background is a myriad of workshops, private lessons with well-known artists, art videos, books about techniques, and many hours spent painting--all beginning after retirement. Adleyn discovered music early in life, becoming a church organist and pianist at the age of 14. After earning a Master's degree in Music Performance form Auburn University, she became involved in teaching. As her teaching career came to an end, she began drawing and painting with a passion. She studied art at Columbus State University in 2019, finding her connection to art therapeutic, especially when combined with beautiful music. Her favorite mediums are acrylics, oils, pastels, and watercolors with pen. She loves working with bright colors and the myriad of shapes found in nature.
