Andy Carpenter is an award-winning screenwriter, filmmaker, furniture maker, and painter. He writes and paints to explore the connection between the man-made and natural worlds through tone, sharp detail, and the blurred lines of memory. Andy was pleased to place first at the Friends of Providence Canyon Inaugural “A Canyon Plein Air.”Andy is focusing on creative endeavors after years working in the social service arenas of substance abuse prevention and juvenile justice. These experiences led Andy to a deep love for the land and people he met along the way. His intention is to produce works that lay bare humanity and its surroundings.Andy lives in Midtown with his wife and their young son.
