Her work is experimental and abstract impressionist in style. She loves playing with color, shapes, layers, and introducing textures. “Since much of my work begins with no preconceived idea, it is always exciting to see what will emerge from the blank surface. I use watercolor, ink, gouache, acrylics, and often papers to achieve the desired result.” Expressive and evocative, her paintings convey delight in her environment and spiritual roots. She considers herself a “layerist” in art and life. She is a Louisiana native who has lived throughout the South. She currently lives on a barrier island off the coast of North Carolina.
