Augusta is an abstract painter with a BFA in painting from the University of Georgia and a MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design-Atlanta. While classically trained, she is renowned for creating inventive yet approachable abstract paintings that embrace color and intuitive mark-making.Her work has been featured in House Beautiful, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Serena & Lily, West Elm, Style Blueprint, the Scout Guide and most recently, interior designer Ashley Gilbreath’s bestselling book, The Joy of Home, to name a handful. Her paintings are described as atmospheric: evoking a sense of landscape and escapism.
