Jean Roberts-Guequierre is best known for her detail rich, contemporary themed oil paintings which use the imagery and techniques of the Flemish Primitives, Bosch, and Bruegel. Her work focuses on themes of midlife rebirth, reimagining women in traditional male oriented imagery, and psychological themes. All of her work is imbued with empathy, humor, and a wry wit. In addition to oil paintings she creates exquisite drawings, acrylic sketches, and watercolors.
