Mary Pat Ward King is a vibrant artist inspired by bright colors, beautiful landscapes and florals. A life-long resident of Columbus, Georgia, she began painting after her breast cancer diagnosis. Painting was a form of therapy that turned into a passion. She particularly enjoys working with oils and painting in plein air. Mary Pat has traveled abroad to study and learn from renowned artist Jill Steenhuis and enjoys participating in workshops with regional artists. You can visit her studio located in the Mill District. When she is not painting, Mary Pat enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loves traveling, needlepointing and gardening.
