Terry Nybo was born and raised in northern Montana. Drawing has always been an interest and a pleasure for Terry since he was a very young child. His interest in drawing and painting resulted in him attending Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and studying fine art with Cyrus Running and Norman Bowman. He graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art and English education. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dentistry and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Minnesota. Terry has been studying drawing and painting most of his life by reading, visiting fine art museums and galleries, taking courses at art schools, attending workshops and painting outdoors. He has attended the Scottsdale Artists School, Pro-Art Workshops, Beartooth School of Wildlife Art and was invited to attend a Cowboy Artists of America workshop. His drawing and painting is representational involving subject matter including the human figure, landscape, still life and wildlife. He also enjoys plein air painting and gets outdoors to paint whenever possible. He is a member of Oil Painters of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, American Impressionists Society, Montana Painters Alliance and has won awards in National and Regional Shows.
