Keith Jackson (b. 1966, Essex, Missouri; lives and works in Kenosha, Wisconsin). A self-taught artist, Jackson worked as a building contractor for most of his life up until the last few years, when he began his full time painting practice. Working in brightly hued oil paint applied either on canvas or linen, Jackson's figurative paintings capture the simultaneously profound yet every-day memories of his childhood growing up in Essex in the 1970s. In 2022, Jackson attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Most recently, his work has been exhibited at Harper’s, Los Angeles and East Hampton (2023 and 2022); The Armory Show with Charles Moffett Gallery, New York (2022); Steven Zevitas Gallery, Boston (2021); and Untitled Miami Beach, FL (2021). Jackson has been featured in publications including T Magazine, Boston Globe, and Surface Magazine. This is Jackson’s first solo exhibition with Red Arrow and his first in Tennessee.
